Being in the heart of Exmoor National Park and its stunning scenery, there is just so much to see. Situated on the South West Coast Path, we have the highest sea cliffs in England surrounding us, and Lynmouth makes the perfect place to stop off on a long distance walking holiday. Speaking of which, we are also at the start of the Two Moors Way (or the finish!) – the beginning of which can actually be seen from the windows of our rooms.

For those not so inclined towards the full on walking holiday, why not follow the adjacent riverside footpath to the delightful Watersmeet, or head through the woodland route to the Doone Valley?

These are just a small selection of places you can head out to, and if you stop at The Captain’s House, you can easily set out to any of these picture postcard destinations.

The first half of the festival, from Friday through to Tuesday inclusive will have all the walks within the North Devon area. The second half, from Wednesday through to the following Sunday inclusive will move across to Exmoor and the Quantock Hills. This means that you can conveniently base yourself Lynmouth and stay at The Captain’s House to makes yourself central to all the walks.
